Dyslexia 101

Webster University is proud to present Dyslexia 101 Seminar to parents and professionals.

Mark Borella, Founder of Seeds of Happiness and local artist, will be sharing his experience as a student with dyslexia.

Mary Kaeser-Miller and Sarah Bartley from Dyslexia St. Louis: Learning & Advocacy Center along with Kim Stuckey, Dyslexia Specialist Department of Elementary and Secondary Education will be presenting Dyslexia 101.

Topics to be covered are:

  • Definition of Dyslexia
  • Warning Signs
  • Components of an effective reading program based on the science of reading
  • How to help students in a classroom setting
  • How parents can access the special education process

The presentation will be followed by a Q & A session with a panel of professionals.
